Seasonal Chattanooga Interior Design
What is it about the change of seasons that inspires updated decor in your home? Fall is such a beautiful time, so it makes sense that we would want to bring all those incredible elements of the season into our Chattanooga interior design. Fall is all about being warm and cozy, and if you want to bring that feeling into your home, check out these four easy ways to decorate your home for the season.
Just add plaid. No other fabric says Fall quite like plaid. As soon as temperatures begin to drop we see it everywhere. There are so many ways to work this chic fall look into your home, but our favorite just might be a pretty pair of neutral plaid pillows. Toss them on your sofa or bed for a classic seasonal flair.
Incorporate luxurious fabrics. Speaking of fabrics, another fall favorite of ours is velvet. This yummy fabric is heavy, rich, and warm making it perfect for the onset of cold weather. It’s so easy to work this look into your home, because a little goes a long way. Just one pillow in a deep mustard, rust or emerald green instantly adds a fall feel to a neutral space.
Get cozy. We’ll admit, we believe your home should be cozy all year long but it’s especially important during the colder months for a comfortable home. Keep plush throws within reach. Place candles throughout your home. Layer your bed with extra blankets and be sure your furniture is arranged in ways that anywhere you sit down to relax in your home it has a cozy and comfortable vibe.
Bring the outdoors inside. Honestly, isn’t this the best thing about fall anyway? Bring those elements into your home by filling vases with branches that are dripping with those gorgeous leaves. Keep it simple, and add just one or two branches of dried pampas grass or wheat for a more modern look.
