How to Create a Luxurious Bedroom
Chattanooga Bedroom Furniture That Feels Like a Dream
If there’s one room in your home where you deserve a little luxury it’s your bedroom. More than a place to sleep, the bedroom is where you begin and end your day. Dreaming of your own personal luxury retreat? It’s totally possible with just a few easy changes. Turn your bedroom into that luxurious space you’ve always wanted with these five tips.
Start with the bed. Obviously, you need a great mattress. But what you put on the bed is just as important. Don’t skimp on blankets and pillows. Think layers! You should be able to sink into your bed at the end of the day. Layer your bed with high-quality bedding then add plush pillows and throws in rich textures. Drape a faux fur throw over the foot of the bed so you can easily grab it on cool nights.
Our next tip may sound simple, but it’s important. Clear the clutter! If there’s one thing luxurious spaces always have in common it’s a lack of clutter. With all the chaos of day-to-day life, you need a space where you can clear your mind before you go to sleep. So remove all those unnecessary items from your nightstand and keep it simple with a lamp and fresh flowers.
Hang a statement mirror. An interesting mirror with a polished frame has a posh feel. Place it over the bed to create a focal point or hang it above a dresser as an alternative to a standard mirror. It will create a pretty focal point and double as artwork.
Every bedroom feels a little more luxurious with extra seating. If you have the space then create a separate conversation area with a pair of chairs and an ottoman. Even if you only have room for a single chair choose one that’s cozy and comfortable. The point is to carve out a little space in your bedroom that’s just for you. Style it with a chic pillow, and if room allows, a pretty ottoman so you can kick back and relax with a good book.
Layer lighting. Overhead lighting simply isn’t enough for a bedroom. There are many ways to incorporate different levels of light. Place lamps on nightstands or install sconce lights on either side of the bed. Put overhead lighting on a dimmer and add lamps near seating or any dark pockets of the space. Layered lighting gives you options and great lighting always makes a space feel more high-end.
Creating a luxurious bedroom is about more than how it looks. When all of these elements come together it creates a space that makes you feel good. This will result in your own retreat where you’ll sleep well every night. What’s more luxurious than that?
