Update a classic. Use jewel tones but give the look a modern twist by limiting the palette to one or two colors. Dark teal has a dramatic impact, especially when paired with crisp white. Choose pillows with fun elements such as tassels and a mix of patterns for a fresh look. Add warmth to the space with polished gold accessories.

Create calm by layering your bed with neutrals while keeping it stylish with high contrast. When walls, bedding and even the rug are white it creates a soft canvas for classic pieces. A casually layered collection of pillows will make you just want to sink into bed. Finish the look with a fun, furry throw tossed over the foot of the bed.

Give your bedroom the spa treatment with soothing grey and white. Classic stripes pair with a delicate dose of floral to create a modern look. Don't forget, when layering neutrals texture is key. Add a pillow in a favorite hue for a chic splash of color.

Don't settle for a basic look when it comes to styling your bed. You deserve a space that's as beautiful as it is comfortable and in the bedroom that starts with the right bedding. Visit our showroom to find these looks and more.

Easy Fall Updates for the Home

Nothing inspires the need to freshen up your home decor quite like the change of seasons. With fall just a few weeks away, now is the time to go ahead and start making some changes in your home. It’s easy to make the transition with just a few key items. Get ready for fall by incorporating some saturated colors, plush textures, and warm metallics.

  • Freshen up your fireplace with a new screen. This warm metallic finish in a modern geometric pattern will instantly update a room and get you ready for the fires you’ll be burning on those chilly fall nights.
  • No fireplace? Lighting candles adds a cozy feel to a room. Especially when the sun starts to set earlier and natural light is lost. These large lanterns feature leather straps which make them easy to carry from room to room.
  • If you don’t already have one, consider adding a cabinet or chest to your entry. Something with drawers and shelves will help keep your home organized since you’ll need a place to store gloves, hats, and scarves as temperatures drop. Plus you’ll have easy access to them as you go out the door.
  • Pillows and throws are always a good idea. As the weather gets cooler, add more pillows and plush throws to seating areas throughout the house. Try to incorporate rich colors such as shades of plum, chocolate, and orange.
  • Update your bedding with a heavy down comforter. Nothing makes a bed feel more luxurious than plush bedding. For an even cozier fall feel, layer it with a thick throw in cable knit or faux fur.

Updating your home for fall is about more than adding the right colors. It’s about making it a comfortable and cozy place for you and your family. There are so many ways to add style and function to your home for the new season. Meet with a designer in our showroom to find your perfect fall pieces.

Interior Design Classic: Chocolate Brown

vases / beddinglamp / artwork / dishes / throw

Classic interiors often have one thing in common: classic hues. If you want to create a space that’s versatile and easy to update over time, then start with a neutral, like chocolate brown. Chocolate has always been a go-to for decorators due to its rich look and ability to work with any color. This shade of brown can take on so many looks, but it’s often seen in modern spaces and takes on a sophisticated and luxe vibe. Take some inspiration from some of our favorite pieces to work this chic hue into your own home.

  • These high contrast vases are striking and can be popped onto a mantel or styled into a bookcase to bring a chic chocolate vibe to any room. Use them as a group of three or use a pair of the tallest vases to flank a piece of artwork.
  • Instantly update your bedroom with new bedding. A creamy colored duvet with a chocolate border is modern and sleek. Mixing it with orange and teal pillows gives it a softer look.
  • This porcelain lamp looks like it’s dripping with chocolate brown paint. It’s a dramatic look and would be a nice touch alone, but would make even more of a statement as a pair.
  • If you have a room that’s just missing something, then consider an abstract. Abstract artwork instantly takes a space to the next level. These canvases would work well over a sofa, in a foyer, or even above a fireplace.
  • Add some style to your kitchen with these chocolate brown marbleized dishes. These are sure to impress your guests at your next dinner party.
  • Bring a luxe feel to any space with this plush, faux fur chocolate throw. Drape it over the sofa, a cocktail ottoman, or over the foot of the bed.

Is it time to give your home some updates or a new look? We’ve done many spaces in many styles using chocolate brown. Let us help you design a space with this classic shade while incorporating your own style and giving your home the look you love.
